Another note. I will not be towing anything. Putting stuff in the bed is another issue but nothing over 400lbs. So, can I drive in OD all the time or are trucks different than say my car where OD is on all the time?

hold on -
recheck Kelly Blue Book for private party, good condition. should be about $5000-6000 WITH working heat.

no way in holy hell a 12-13 year old truck with rusty doors is worth $8600.

be aware that no heat could be a very expensive fix (dash removal, heater core, blend door, etc). over $1000, which means that if you pay somebody to fix it your back up to $7000 and your haven't even experienced a transmission failure yet (another $2000). rust/paint fix is another $2000.

don't buy that truck for anywhere near $6000.

Nada says clean retail value is 4850.00..... that's assuming body in good condition, and everything works..... no way that truck is worth 6K.

Just Checked Kelly Blue Book again and chose Private. Its priced at $7393 for very good condition. The truck has no rust and inside looks perfect. I was able to talk him lower to $5500. Still deciding. Heat did not work but air did. Drove good.

Heat not working is a pain to fix.. Could cause that "perfect" interior to be not so perfect... I would offer 5k maybe.. Its got low miles and everything but it will still have some issues popping up quick.
