Default Dodge Ram 1500 Heater core question

If the heat is not working, do I need to replace the heater core if the air is working still? I will never use the heat. I live in Florida.

Nope, if you don't feel you need and it's not leaking. Hell you can block it off and your air will get a smidge cooler.

How do you know you'll never use the heat? I was in Ga last winter and it was pretty friggin cold in Florida last winter too... It was either last winter or the winter before last that Key West set a new low temp...

Anywho, don't need to replace the heater core unless it's leaking, and if it's leaking you could always just bypass it altogether and leave it alone...

Hrm, why'd you bother checking the heat?
