Default Delay wiper issues.....

2001 2500 SLT PW,PL, Power driver's seat. Can't find anyone having the same issues as I'm having with my wipers. Wipers work perfect in low or high settings. No parking issues in any settings. I get full swipes at every activation. Mine only work in certain settings, "clicks", in the delay mode. The first click, longest delay, the wipers usually run like they're in the slow setting and then work normally, delayed, after a few minutes. Next couple of clicks they don't work at all. Last 2 clicks, minimal delay, they work as advertised. I'm thinking it's the switch on the column. No other issues except the passenger heated mirror doesn't work. All the "dingers", lights and gauges work.

Looks like intermittent is controlled by the central timer module, and it pulses the relay, depending on a voltage signal received from the switch. Check output voltage on pin 16, Red wire with black trace, at the various intermittent settings. Should see increasing voltage as you decrease the "wait" interval. That will tell ya which is bad, switch, or CTM.

the red with black, is that at the CTM plug.
that would be the easiest test, although i was thinking just from memory it was a purple wire? see section 8 of the 01 service manual download.

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...load-test.html

another test is to remove the column switch and check decreasing resistance at each click. see service manual or haynes for test process. the only thing about this test, is that once you have the stupid switch removed and in your hand, its not hardly worth testing. just replace it because its probably worn out.

welcome to df.
