i got a bit of a question for you. how did you get the egr tube out of the back of the intake while it was on the truck? there is no room back there. i know i picked up a intake off a 94 and had to partially cut the tube and then lots of bending just to get it to break free. i think i smash the oil pressure sensor while i was at it.

Wolfie: Fully disconnect the nut that secures the EGR tube, unbolt the intake manifold, and slide it slightly forward before you lift it up and out. Then when you re-install it be very careful to make sure the rear gasket stays in place before you bolt the intake down.

i was just wondering how you get the nut off. i don't think i could have got a wrench back there if is tried. i know when i got to do it on my 93 i should not have that problem but if i need to replace that tube on my truck it might be nice to know how to get one off in 1 piece instead of 2.

Oh that. I had to snake my hand up there with the 17mm (I think) open end from underneath the truck. And seriously, if you can, just delete the EGR. Such a stupid idea...
