what filter are you using in the remote?
looked at some on ebay, they are reasonable, but it seems none come with the filters.

I like the side in and out ports on your setup, but would there be any issue to simply putting some elbows and close nipples of the same size on a vertical setup?

i know only use thread tape!

HEYYOU - thanks that does make sense. For clarity the return line is the one with the disconnect from the radiator?

See the thumbnail pic of the installed filter on page 1 of this thread. Click on or point to the thumbnail for a larger picture.

On the one in the thumbnail pic. I am using a Super-Tech filter, Same one as motor. I will use any quality filter but never a Fram.
One could use close nipples and elbows if you have a vertical Inlet and Outlet, just would make it a little taller for the application.

The vast majority of them have the line fittings coming out of the top/vertically. I really like the unit with the lines coming out of the side/horizontially.

1.) did you increase the line size of the tranny hoses for voulume?

2.) is there any flow concerns? Ususally adding a filter (in most cases) causes a pressure drop.

One word of WARNING,,,Do NOT plumb it backwards! Tranny will overheat!

For more selection, google remote oil filter. Remote transmission filter limits the search results.
