95 2500 V-10 2wd ?
Is it ok to remove the cat converters? No emissions testing here in Florida and maint. req. light is on pointing at them. Heard would affect driveability. Have always owned older Mopars, around 20 years lol, and usually removing converters increases performance.
Thanks all. Any help appreciated.

The Fed's want you to have cats, but who cares? Not me
If you can get by without them, cut them out, don't gut (it will sound like ****), put pipe in place, and do the non fouler trick for the rear O2 Sensor.
I removed the cat on my truck and performance has increased. I haven't done the non fouler trick yet so every now and again I get a CEL, but it doesn't negatively affect performance or gas mileage.

when i removed cats from my v-10, it had two cats back near the rear axle, no 02 sensors to deal with or CEL's, tho i think it had tubes to the smog pump i just cut and capped IIRC, (is a chance you might have something different tho) was a lot better sound and installed 2 flowmasters in place, the true dual sounded good but a quick H pipe before the mufflers cleaned the sound up a bunch too
