Default Lift kit on a 98 ram sport 2wd

Hi all im new to this forum and will have many questions for the forum. My question for today is i would like to lift my ram come spring(warm weather). Im lookin to lift it 3-6 inches and am looking for options. I realize that some people on here dont think 2wd should be lifted but im doing it for looks and to increase my ground clearance. I have looked at front coil spacers, rear lift blocks, spindle lifts, and body lifts. I cant find an actual lift kit for 2wd. I would prefer not to body lift it. Does anyone know where to find one? Any help is much appreciated. If you did any sort of lift on a 2wd please let me know what you did. Thanks.

Not sure there are any 'kits' for the 2wd. Have to piece it together.

Spindles may require larger rims.

Going more than 2.5 to 3" on the front, will require you do something about balljoint angles. (either different joints, or different arms, or both....)

Don't do blocks. Contributes to wheel hop. Do an add-a-leaf, or shackle flip. (rear)

There are a couple other 2wd lift threads around here as well, may wanna try and search 'em out.

Welcome to DF.

Any of these worth doing either individually or combining 2 parts for bigger lift as in front: spindles, rear shackles, and the full kit for a total of 6" in front and 5 in rear?

Do you plan on offroading? Blocks are usually frowned upon... I have pretty much zero experience in a 2wd lift system. I would say do some spindles and a spacer maybe for up front and just get the lift springs in rear but I am not sure if you can mix those parts together for up front.

Why does everyone frown at blocks? What do the 4wd Rams have in the rear? Blocks.

He said he wants it for looks and ground clearance. Blocks would be fine I bet, depending on how high he actually lifts it though.

I dont have an issue with them.. They can make for some weird axle issues or so I have heard and they arent good for off-roading... IDK

Blocks of any description move the axle further from the spring, giving it a longer moment-arm to apply torque to the spring. This results in axle hop, spring fatigue, and other ills... Just because it came that way from the factory, doesn't imply it was a good idea to begin with. It's an inexpensive way to get some lift. On our trucks, the bump stop is also integrated into the block....

A single block up to about 4-5" is acceptable. Stacking blocks is asking for trouble.
