Lets do it! I'm always down for a project. You buy the donor truck. (Actually on a side note I'm trying to haggle with a guy right now on craigslist for a 1998 2500 4x4 as a parts truck. It's complete with a V-10, 47 tranny, 241 tranfer case, 60/70 axles etc, It's just rotted out.)

I'm running the 37" Military Humvee tires on mine on a set of non-military 16.5" rims. On the road they're great... quiet and smooth, wear is awesome. On dry dirt, they're smooth and hold traction well. In mud, they're amazing! The big gap in the lugs lets them clear out quickly and bite into whatever you're going through. Snow, eh, they can't compare to a good set of snows.

ya they wear and ride like iron lol, they are not too bad in the wet, but a little throttle can turn them loose pretty easy, she loves it, drifts it around every corner in the rain, but i wouldnt say they are much worst traction than my toyo m/t's in the wet, when i first put them on i went into town and left dually tracks across the mall parking lot on dry, that was fun!

on a different note, what is yall thoughts on 22.5 wheels and a 10 lug conversion??? after hours of reasearch, it looks like the only option i got for tall narrow radials with out going to wide rear tires with spacers, we want to keep as narrow as possiable but still be in the 36-40'' tire range, plus they might last 100k miles or soo....

I already have a V-10 waiting to go in sitting in my barn, I'm looking for a 47RE to bolt up to it. If I get this, then absolutely. If I don't I'll just have to stay on track to buy just the tranny.

I'm not a fan of big rims / rubber bands but this truck is an exception:

(not mine)

If you put a couple big dirty stacks on yours I would support it!
