Default Power lock help

I have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 sport 5.9L that every time you hit the power lock switch it will lock or unlock and the blow the fuse I've tried to put a bigger fuse in and it blows all of them. Can any one help?

Sounds like theres a short. Start tracing the wires.

^^That. Something is shorted. Start tracing the wiring and find it.

Common places wires get chaffed are where the penetrate the doors, body. Anywhere they go through something. If wiring isn't the culprit, it'll be a bad switch or lock actuator/solenoid.

In the tubes between the body and doors is a favorite spot as well.

i had to trace the PDL wiring in the wifey's explorer. it had a broken wire in the door hinge duct - between the door and under dash. the fords also have splices in the harness that lays in the doorway kick plates which tend to corrode.
