I have the auto tranny. And no there doesn't appear to be any waffles cookin
If my belt tensioner was worn out, would it just cause the belts to be a bit looser? My A/C doesn't work either not sure why haven't looked at it since it's the dead of winter up here

Looser belts would mean they are slipping.

Yes, so IF my belt tensioner was worn out this would cause the loose belts and slipping?

Does anyone know of a way to test the belt tensioner?

Pop the hood while the engine is running. If the belt is flopping around back and forth a lot... the pensioner is loose.

As for your A/C, try checking the clutch. Mine was old, worn out and seized. Got one from a scrapyard and haven't had any problems since.
