Default 3rd Gen to 2nd Gen Grill?

Hello everyone, does anyone have any experience modding a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 grill to fit a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500? I'm sure it won't be an exact fit? I found a really good 2004 grill, cheap. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanx.

If you're good at bodywork, sheetmetal working and fiberglass, then sure, you can do it.

I dont know the exact differences but, anything can be done with the right amount of time, knowledge, money, and skill. And of course a place to do it.

OP wants to replace his 2nd gen with a 3rd gen.

OP, if you have access to the 3rd gen grill, hold it up in front of your truck and see how much is involved.

Yea, sound like more trouble than it is worth. I've found some reasonably priced after market 2nd Gen's, after searching a little. I think I'll go with an all black replacement. It will match my trucks color scheme better anyway. Thanks for the advice and responses!
