I have a 97 dodge ram with the 5.9 want to swap auto trans to manual trans but not sure if i have to use the nv3500 or the nv4500 because i read that the nv3500 was designed for the 5.2? anything helps also if anyone has done one of these swaps what exactly do i need to have to swap new pcm, different bell housing, anything helps Thanks!!

 

Any transmission that bolts to a 5.2 will bolt to a 5.9 and vice verse.

NV4500 is a more robust trans. If you can find one, use it.
