at my wits end!
OK i've been a long time mopar guy! but this truck is driving me crazy! 1996 dodge ram 1500 5.9l gas 4x4...... i've done the hughes performance plenum kit,new battery,ps pump new belts,TPS,both ECT sensors, seafoamed ,new plugs, rotor ans cap,oil change, lucas injector cleaner, checked wiring ,in the last 3 weeks......and the damn thing still dies when I stop or make a turn but only randomly the temp here has been in the 30's i drove it about 60 miles without a glitch....now my brain hurts and i want to trade it off. please help me
Clean throttle body and idle air control valve, make sure you disconnect neg battery cable first. If this doesn't work you may have to replace the iac. If your plenum was blown for a while you should take a look at your cat as it will likely be clogged
And along with cat....possibly upstream O2 sensor may need replacement as well. You did a whole lot of things that are not necessarily related the problems you identified. Matt referenced the IAC. That would have been a likely starting point. Also are you sure that when you did plenum you do not have a vacuum leak?

I have that problem "stalling and dying when stopping or turning", but it's a 92 Cadillac deville and only happens when fuel is down to 5 gal range. Baffles in tank disintegrate which partially clogs the pick up tube and the gas sloshes away from pump momentarily when stopping or turning. Just a thought. As others have said I would concentrate on IAC first, clean or replace.
I cleaned the IAC, checked for vacuum leaks and cleaned the throttle body when I did the plenum, which was carboned up really bad. I'm kinda leaning to a weak fuel pump or fuel pump related problem because its not throwing any trouble codes and when I take off it will leave rubber down my street like nothing else, but stopping or turning is a different story......gonna run a fuel pressure test tomorrow! i'll let you guys know the results when I find out....Thanks for the input!

if its flowing enough fuel to burn rubber down the road at high rpm, then its flowing enough fuel to idle. i expect your fuel pressure test to be normal at 49 psi.
reconsider IAC (also check the hole in bottom of the well to make sure its not clogged up. also TPS, it plays into the idle. as well as the front O2 sensor.
