Default V10 plug gap

Hey everyone.

Getting ready to do plugs one my 99 V10 and wanted to make sure about the gap. The sticker says .045 but the 3 I pulled to check were all at about .060. Normally I'd just go by the sticker but got to thinking beings all 3 I pulled were exactly the same at .060 it might be for a reason. So, figured I'd check first.

Thanks
Keith

Yup .045" is the right gap. When you buy pre-gapped plugs, you still need to check and set the gap with a gauge.

Thanks Matt
Yea, I always set the the gap before install. The only reason I even ask was I know on some motors, like the old Ford 300 I had, setting the gap wider was a cheap way to gain HP and fuel mileage.

Thanks again.
