weird noise in bell housing

Default weird noise in bell housing

have 1994 dodge ram 1500 recently started making clunking noise in bell housing can not diagnose problem..maybe tc or flexplate need help plzzz

Does it do it in neutral? Or only in gear?

just in park im thinkin tc or flex plate but im not sure...

What do you mean by loss of power? When is it doing it, and waht conditions.? Info on truck would help a little also.

Default trouble

i was doin bout 50mph on highway been running bout 12 miles now an all sudden jus loses power it doesnt die just kicks out i pull over give it a second an take off again running jus fine give ran it another 12 miles an it does it again oil pressure is good not over heating fluids are fine...when i return home notice a slight cluking sound in bell housing..

Hhhmmm.... if it only does it in park.... probably not the flex plate. If the plate were cracked/broken, it would get REALLY loud when you put it in gear.

well if not flex plate what bout if the tc bolts are lose or have fell out or flywheel broke or cracked would either those make make the noise and make me lose power not sure if i hav cats have 18'' glasspacks an dont think cats are on....

cause i had tranny rebuild 1500 miles back maybe they screwed up my tc or didnt use loctite an there lose...

yeah check your torque converter bolts make sure they are not loose. Probably wouldnt cause power loss but its worth a look
