Default Gear kits

Hey guys

So I found locally a guy who is selling gear kits for a 2008 dodge 1500, they are for a 9.25 rear end which is the one I have in my 98 1500. Could I realistically pick up these kits and have a shop install them in my old gear housing? They have a 3.92 ratio vs mine 3.55. I am just curious if this would be a plausible option.

Nope they're different axles and different gear sets.
You have a 9.25 chrysler, the '08s have a 9.25 AAM
Randys Ring&Pinion sells what you need.

I have a rear set of 3.92 gears here used in great shape $100 and as you are in BC shipping will be cheap.
