Question Springs

Apologies if this has been beat to death;
2000 Ram 1500 Sport. I need new coils and would like to raise the front end a bit. I read a thread where the guy used 2500 coils on his 1500 but the RockAuto part # he gives is non existent.
Also, his truck is a 96 and mine is a 2000, so here's the question.
Would I be better off just going with 1500 springs or will 2500's fit? if so, which ones?
Thanks again for all of your opinions / expertise.

2500/3500 springs are a direct replacement. Diesel, or V-10 coils will get you 2 to 3 inches total. I don't think year matters... so long as they are for a second gen.

diesel coils will give more lift than the v10 coils. i have v10 coils in mine, and they fit just fine.

going to be upgrading to the diesel coils i have sitting in my shop soon, for better weight carrying for my plow.

Any need to get different shocks when going with the diesel coils?

recommended, but not always needed. stock 1500 shocks can handle 2.5" of lift, i believe.
