Default Transmission help

I have a 2001 Ram 1500 5.2L manual trans. My back up lights quit working and I read that it might be the back up light switch. I have checked the bulbs and wiring. Can anyone help me find out what transmission is in my truck so I can get a new switch? I checked the info plates on the door and under the hood and no dice.

Switch is in tailshaft of transmission. Check it first. Not common fairure. May need tightning or loosen slightly. check connector.

Yea I also checked the fuse. The only thing I can gather is that is the switch.

you may want to test for power at the switch before you replace it. as long as the key is in the run position there should be power at the switch.
