I agree, I never suggested he change the PCM.

So, a 5.9 will go in perfect, hook up perfect, but I have multiple routes to choose between for the PCM issue? One being order a SCT TUNER from Hemi fever, and tell them my story? Is this right? If so, it sounds WAYY eaisier than I had expected. Also what years will swap? Pretty much any 2nd gen dodge?

thats all you need to do, and yes any year will work, but something around your year would be better, due to differences in sensors.

Does the motor and trans have to be out of a 4x4 since that is what mine is? There are these motors everywhere, fairly priced too. Kind of surprising

One more question. What if a motor, tranny, and transfer case from a durango? its a 5.9 too, what issues would be there if any? Is there any differences in the motors?

5.9L from a Durango is the same as the pickup's (I think) so it should be the same transmission, there was a thread awhile back about using a tcase from a durango, not quite sure what the end result was.

Motor doesn't have to be from a 4x4, but the transmission does.

360 is 360, and 46re is 46re (assuming 4x4 and 4x4). Only diff in 2wd tranny and 4wd is tailshaft extension (for transfer case). Best bet - get PCM as well.

cool, so a durango mottor and tranny would work? It is out of a 4x4 durango. It just looks a little different is all. Cant really tell too much from the pictures is the bad thing
