I was wondering if blocking the EGR tube from recirculating exhaust was a bad idea. my tube has been cut so i wanted to just plug it up

Put a block off plate on in place of the egr valve, close off the tube from the exhaust manifold, call it a day. Might get a code for EGR once in a while, but, that's about it.

Won't pass emissions inspection though.... you have testing/inspection where you are?

I'll do that. Where I live, anything before 96 doesn't need emissions testing. Just safety is required. I can actually tell them not to open the hood. I have a 95 so I'm ok.
