Default CSF 2969 All Aluminum Radiator

Awhile back someone posted that they bought an all aluminum radiator. Based on all the failure stories of the POS stock radiators that get posted on DF - I knew it was just a matter of time until it was my turn. so i shopped around and found this beauty. i went ahead and ordered it, thinking i'd put it in when i felt like it.

so i was driving down the road the other day and thinking that the dodge hadn't broken down lately and maybe it was going to act right for awhile... and i smelled coolant. checked - it was leaking at the crimped seam where the plastic meets the aluminum core. leaking on driver side, up near the top and running/spraying everywhere. dammit. good thing i just happen to have a new radiator.

pulled this beauty out of the box and installed it. it fit perfect. looks good. works good. should cool fine in the hot summer time.

if you need a radiator - get this one.
available everywhere, google the model number for best pricing.
CAUTION - SPECTRA-2969 is for a minivan, which is not the same thing. make sure its CSF 2969

I wish I would have gone that route when my took a crack! That looks good, and is more efficient in heat transfer. (bookmarking for future reference...)

I know what kind of radiator I am getting for the red truck when this 4 month long insurance scandal that I am a victim of finally comes to a close. Thanks for the sharing such good information!

Boy, you could not have posted this at a worse time. Blew the gasket at the crimp down low on the original and threw a new one in not a week ago. Paid the same price for a Spectra replacement with plastic tanks. Now I know what I'm getting when this one takes a dump...

Glad I found this. I was about to settle for another plastic end cap radiator for my daily driven ram. I have had a number of plastic end radiators fail the same way; they come un-crimped at the plastic endcaps, probably from vibration. One on my VW, my mother's last van, her current caravan, my grandmother's caravan one on my other ram, and the one on my daily driven ram is starting to weep on the bottom front. What a ****ty design. I'm sure the roads around here don't help the situation, pot holes and cracks everywhere.

Stuff like this needs to be put in a sticky, this is a GREAT upgrade. Online this one costs the same local stores want for the cheapest plastic end radiators.
