Default Make an override switch for cargo light?

Okay ive searched and searched and cant find any info on what im looking for I use my cargo light a lot but hate having the interior lights on with it is there any way to make a switch to turn just the cargo light on? Thanks!

You can rewire it with a toggle switch. Just do it like any other light, use a relay and fuse for protection. Might want to pull initial power from a switched source so that when the key is turned off itll shut the lights off, incase you forget.

That I do not. There is a factory repair manual avail. for download in the diy/faq section. Itll have the wiring diagrams in it.

I thought about the same tho using the factory switch. You know how the first click turns on the interior lights but not the cargo lights. Well I thought about putting the cargo lights on that click then make the interior lights come on the second click. I think the cargo light is pink/dark blue. Not positive

Override switch should be dead easy..... Pink wire with Dark Blue trace comes from cargo lamps. (caution: Hot at all times.) Headlamp switch provides ground path. Wire a switch that provides an alternate path to ground, and you are golden.
