Rear Shocks Question
I feel stupid for asking this, but whatever. Ya'll have helped me a lot in the past.
2000 2500 4x4 diesel auto
Dana 70 rear
My truck has the Heavy duty tow package.
When I bought rear shocks the other day from Napa, they asked wether it had the 8800lb axle, or non 8800lb axle. I went with my gut, figured I have the heavy duty group, it's a diesel, it's probably got the 8800 lb axle.
So, I installed the shocks, everything went fine. But the new ones are significantly larger in diameter than the old ones. Same length, just a bigger bore shock.
So, if by chance I do NOT have the 8800lb axle, is there a problem with installing the larger diameter shocks? I mean I wouldn't think so. I'd think they would help even more when I'm full loaded. The truck drives great now, no more "wiggle" in the back end, the old ones were terribly shot. And I mean, bad.
But I have this nagging question will this be a problem if they are the bigger ones.
Like I said, feel dumb for asking, but what do you guys think?
