my 96 dodge ram 1500 extended cab door did the normal dodge thing and cracked along the inside so it wouldnt shut. so i went and bought a door from a 98 dodge ram 1500 regular cab, but the power harness's are different between the two trucks. IE the 96 plugs are in the truck about the e brake, and the door i bought( the 98) the quick connecter is right where the seal is going into the truck. and on the 96 the seal is a circle and on the 98 the seal is a square. Will these harness's work with eachother? and if they do how i do go about hooking them up? thanks

Just to clarify, my truck the 96 doesn't have the 3rd door.

how did you figure out the fix? this could be good info for the next person that has this issue.

 

just swapped over the wire harness from the 96 door in the door from the 98
