Does anyone have part numbers handy for the rear drive shaft universal joints and the front drive shaft axle universal joint?
Basically, I am changing my NV231 to an NV242 and in the process I want to change the joints in the rear drive shaft. In regards to the front drive shaft, I have procured a 1994 Explorer front drive shaft, and it supposedly shares the same front joint as a Ram and the same rear joint as the Durango that this transfer case came out of.
I've tried some forum searching, along with some Google searches, and even Rock Auto searches. I've come across hundreds of part numbers across many manufacturers and I simply don't know which to use.
I prefer solid joints for strength, and I prefer American made quality joints. Spicer maybe?
So, I'm looking for good part numbers for both joints in the rear drive shaft for a 1998 Ram 1500 360 4x4, and the front drive shaft's front joint.
Thanks for any help.

That's kind of the problem, the local parts stores only carry the Made In China cheap joints. I prefer to order them so I know I get the best quality joints but with so many options it's easy to get the wrong ones and waste time and money.
That's why I was hoping someone who changed their joints might have part numbers of a good quality joint that I can order and trust to fit right.

Still go to the parts store with the sizes and match them up. Once you have the part #'s they can be interchanged to a better brand you can order from rock auto or wherever. Another option is to find a local driveshaft shop. They can make a custom shaft or weld on a different yoke to your existing drive shaft. The ujoint route is easier and cheaper of course. All you need is a joint with 2 different sizes obviously.
