No I have factory 3.55's that's what I was wondering on. I'm just concerned if I do 4.10's and then actually do some hauling or towing that it might hurt stuff but when I do a manual trans. swap would the 4.10's still be ok then?
I think with the 34's it would be like driving on 285's. I think. But either way, 4.10's and 34's would be better then 3.55's and 34's.
I agree with HeyYou about the 4.56's, if you plan on going bigger than 33's. If you feel that 33's are as big as you are going to go, you could probably find a great deal on a used set of 4:10s, being as many trucks came with them. You will be happy with either choice after your five speed swap.
Fwiw as someone that has tried different gear ratios and different tire sizes in/on my truck, 285/75r16= 3.92 or 4.10, 315/75r16 = 4.56. Just my 2c worth of info.
I was planning on buying axles out of the offroad edition with the 4:10 gears aready in it, it would cost around the same and i would have spare axles here any ways.
Just an idea for anyone planning on running 4:10's
