That would explain it. Nothing to worry about with the bead. Might want to think about getting a matched set of tires though.

Cool!! thanks guys. Yes, tires are on the list..but for now, just fixing a lot of odds and ends. There's a whining sound coming from "somehwere" that I haven't been able to track down. If I'm cruising and take my foot off the gas pedal it stops making the noise, the second I get on the gas, I hear this rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr/hummmmm noise. I know trying to track down "noise" can be tricky. Going to jack it up on all fours and try to narrow it down using 4x2 and 4x4. If I hear it while using 4x4, then it's something related to the front end, if I hear something using 4x2, then it's something related in the back end.....so I'm thinking?

Rule number one when posting a question about why one of your tires looks different: Make sure it is NOT different first.

I didn't realize that all terrain tires, especially BFG KO's, mounted differently, now I know. In all my years of wrenching (27), I learned something new today. I honestly thought that the tire was falling off the rim...LOL! EVERY tire that I've ever owned or mounted (when I worked professionally) had the bead on the inside of the rim.
