Default Oil Pressure and Temp Gauge Problems

About a week ago I went out and started my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. The check gauge light came on and I noticed that the oil pressure and temp gauges were not working. I turned the truck off and then started it again. This time the gauges worked. Now every time I turn it on the same gauges don't work and turning it off then starting it again fixes the problem. Has anyone else had this issue, and do you know a fix for it. Thanks.

I'd try replacing the sensors. You should be able to get them both for less than $20.

I'd also search and post the question in the 3rd gen forum. Maybe that is a a fairly common problem with them. I doubt it's the sensors, sounds like a common(to the 2 sensors) ground wire issue or wire in the steering column/ignition switch maybe.
