Default dodge ram head light issue

My grandpa has a 2001 dodge ram 1500, 5.9 lt v8. i am trying to figure out why his headlights are so dim. dose any body know what the solution is to this?

Bad ground wire(s) maybe. Go to the FAQ/DIY section and download the free service manual. It has wiring schematics so you can trace them. And a little more info may be helpful, like are the hi beams dim too? Do all the lights work? Are they dim all the time or just at idle, etc....

All the lights work just fine. The bright lights are bright, its just the regular headlights that are dim.

Remove the headlight switch and inspect it and the plug/harness that attaches to it. Look for burned or melted components.
