I don't like new trucks because they don't ride like trucks, they ride like cars, especially the 1500.

I want to know I'm driving a truck when I drive a truck

I love that console.
that is pretty much true for those new trucks. i saw this on another forum. the guy didn't even have a full load of dirt and his wheels were almost in the wheel well and apparently he had 30psi of air in his airbags.

There is no way i would have been able to haul all that with out the airlift 1000 kit, i think its at about 30 PSI here. I will admit i was at my limit though.

I've hauled twice that amount of dirt without any kind of suspension help and I didn't squat that much

Wow. I would have been embarrassed to post that picture after spending $30k+, on a "truck". Seriously, I used to haul more than that in my '82 Toyota Pickup, and have less squat in the back.

One thing I do not like about the Avalanche is that is car type ride. So anything will seem stiffer.

That has to be a lowered 2WD truck. I see a stock 2WD 4th gen in the lots occasionally here, and it isn't that low to the ground in the front.
