Default throttle valve cable

Iv searched around on here and on google and i cant find what Im looking for. For every tv cable adjustment how-to, its always of an OBDII truck and I guess that OBDII cable is diff than the OBDI cable. I read that on another forum and it makes sense. Every how-to Ive looked at was of OBDII trucks with a white locking clip for the cable. I went out to my truck maybe ten minutes ago and i dont have a white clip. So how the hell do i adjust it? PIcs and links please seeing as Im more knowledgeable now in a system I dont have haha

There is a little black button that you press in to let the cable move back and forth, the button is found on the side of the cable housing up by the bracket. Adjust it as per spec found in the FSM.

C/P from the 95 FSM

(1) Turn ignition switch to OFF position.

(2) Remove air cleaner on gas engines.

(3) Disconnect cable end from attachment stud on
control lever (Fig. 8).

(4) Verify that transmission throttle lever is in
fully closed position. Then be sure lever on throttle
body is at curb idle position.

(5) Locate cable lock button. Button is part of cable
retainer at engine end of cable.

(6) Press cable lock button inward to release cable.
Lock button only has to move about 2 mm (0.070 in.)
to release cable in adjuster head.

(7) Center cable end on attachment stud to within
1 mm (0.039 in.) and release lock button (Fig. 8).

(8) Check cable adjustment. Be sure transmission
throttle lever and lever on throttle body, move simultaneously
and as described in cable adjustment
checking procedure.

+1..... And get a Haynes manual, it also has the TV cable procedure with pics, and a lot of other info you might find helpful.

When disconnecting the TV cable from the throttle body, be sure not to just try to pop it off like I did (mine snapped yesterday). Pull it cable end toward the front of the truck (or at least that's how mine is on my '96 5.2L gas engine)
