Cool Tiny hole in transmission?

Hello my name is Donovan pretty new to the forum. However I am having troubles with my Dodge ram. Its a great fun truck to drive and stuff besides the steering issues. But Im having problem after problem. Hopefully this will be the last one. I was at the walmart parking lot and I noticed liquid underneath my truck. Of course I always inspect my truck to see where its coming from. So I get home and nothing is dripping. I take a further look under my truck and see this:

And also I noticed that there were 2 cords that look like they go to my transfer case or something else? Does anybody else know what these 2 wires are? I may have snapped them during offroading?

Thank you for the help!

welcome to DF.

i see the dimple in the inspection cover which is a drain hole. that's normal.
but - what's all that crap all over the bottom of your bell housing?
it looks like a big oily, watery, muddy mess.

the black and red lines are vacuum tubes and they're very important to the proper operation of 2wd and 4wd selection. you need to fix them asap.
try slipping on a piece of vacuum tube just a smidgen bigger than the broken lines.

and read this.

you will continue to have problems with your dodge. its a dodge.
read this forum and you'll learn how to fix it....

Check trany fluid level in neutral with tranny warmed up. Make sure it is not overfilled. Ther is a vent hole behind and above the TC. Fluid will leak out there and run down if it is overfilled, and come out at the place shown on your photos.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the reply's. I was wondering what that hole was. I was hoping I didn't do it,also tested the tranny and test went good. And I think I have an extra pair of some lines laying around in the shed that may fix it. Thanks again for the replies.
