I just sold my Dakota an bought a 98 ram 1500 wit a 5.9 in it and it keep ripping the belt up on one side of it. It looks like the power steering pump pulley is sticking out a little more than the other pulleys

You need to check the alignment of all the pulleys obviously. Also check the amount of ribs in each one and make sure the belt ribs matches that amount.

See if pump bracket is loose, allowing for the misalignment.
