Where can I look to see If I have the deathflash?
I got a 2001 ram 1500 sport. Just fixed the plenum with the hughes kit, and Ive known about the death flash for a while. I found a thread on here a while back about a tsb for a certain number to see if the dealer flashed my pcm. But I cannot find that page back. can anyone here show me where to look to see if my pcm has been deathflashed? I remember reading some people had it and others didnt. This is what is on dealers update sticker on the pcm: 56040269 DLR code: 44700
nevermind, I found it in the FAQ's forums, dont know how I missed over it. lol

EDIT: Im still looking for a PDF where I can look up these numbers, i cant seem to find it back

DOUBLE DEATH FLASH!?
Yes, there is a sticker on the pcm with those numbers on it, and there is a sticker that has been halfway peeled off on the upper radiator support that says Chrysler Update: "something" and I cant see what was written because its been torn off.
anyway, thanks for the info, my truck was born with the death flash! A tuner should fix this issue?

yes. if you want a simple solution to cure death flash and correct the speedo for larger tires, get a superchips. if its used, make absolutely sure its not VIN locked, which makes it useless. superchips covers many years and models 98 and up.
avoid hypertech. their speedo correction is only a 50/50 chance of success and they no longer support the product.
avoid JET chip. very poor customer reviews.
SCT is a hot rod performance tuner, but does not correct speedo.

I was looking at the superchips, I see they have an app for android phones called vivid linq that uses a Bluetooth device from superchips that has the tunes preloaded in it and it displays real time data to your phone. I'm assuming this has the same tunes as a regular superchips tuner?

Has anyone used this or seen this before?
