Default Battery Cables

Today I was driving and turned the truck off. Went to turn it back on and there was no click or anything. No power as if the battery was disconnected. After turning the key on and off twice i finally got it to turn on. After driving a short distance and turning it off i tried to start it again but got nothing. This time it took over 10 times of turning the key on and off to get it to start. Every time I would turn the key to "KOEO" position i got nothing, like as if the battery were disconnected. So i disconnected the negative and waited 2 minutes, put it back on and got nothing again. Disconnected positive and negative and put them back on and it worked. No more problems. Anyone else have this problem. If not what could it be? Bad Cables?

The voltage regulator is built in to the PCM for one. That and unless the cable clamps were just crazy loose, I don't think they would cause that.

You could also try removing all three connectors on the PCM, cleaning them, and re-inserting them for good measure, since you stated the other issue in your second post.

Check the connections first before you can decide the PCM is bad. I was just throwing that out there as a possibility.

As I stated before, just start checking stuff.

For all you know, you could have a bad ground or battery!
