'97 1500 sport dies at stops
My truck was running just fine a week ago ,then I left the lights on and went shopping ,so killed the battery( wrong size battery ) anyway sat there for about 30 min, and it started fine ,problem is I let off the gas it would die( kept both feet on the pedals) , got home with it ,next day changed out ,plugs, cables and cap n rotor ,still the same, I can start it runs fine 30 or more minutes. I put it in gear and it'll die before I get 1500ft . Any ideas??
Battery is . Cool now where do I locate these looking from the front end ? I dont have a repair book ( I know I need one ) ,thank you for the help I appreciate it .Throttle body yes I know its the TPS..lol

IAC is on the back side of the throttle body. 2 torx screws #20 or #25 and an electrical connector. you can remove the air filter or not to replace it. i don't.
TPS is on drivers side of throttle body. same setup - 2 torx and an elec connector.
TPS and IAC interact to recognize and control the idle. sometimes idle problems are caused by one, sometimes the other. weak battery will also cause no idle.
download and save the service manuals from the sticky FAQ section, page 2 or 3 or 4.

I'm thinking crank sensor is possible. Mine did the exact same thing a couple years ago. But I agree with cleaning the TB and IAC first. Here's a DIY. And please disconnect the negative battery cable before cleaning or replacing any sensors.
