Question 2001 Ram 1500 Battery Issues PLEASE HELP!

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 it has sat all winter and now wont start i put the key in and no lights come on. I have jumped it pulled it out and went to the store came back and i died in my driveway and wont start again. I try to jump start it and the lights come on but it wont start. Got a brand new battery last fall right before i put it away. What could be wrong?

the battery wasnt put on trickle charge. when a battery is left connected for a long period of time, not being used will slowly kill it.

if it was brand new as of this past fall. get it warrantied out, and be done with it.

I took the battery out of that truck and put it in my mothers 2001 2500 and it works fine so i do not think it is the battery.

Does anything happen when you turn the key on? Get power anywhere?

It could be as simple as the batt cables need cleaning or replacing to a bad starter. Clean all the cable ends, clean all the ground wires that go to the motor and test or just go buy new cables. If that does not help you would need to have the starter tested to see how many amps it's pulling to work.

Does it crank but not start, or doesn't crank at all ?

I'm thinking loose and/or corroded connections......

Search for other recent battery thread also just for reference. Good info in it.
