Stalls In Morning Start Up
When starting it up in the morning, I have to press down on gas pedal for about 10 seconds to keep it from stalling out. Once it's warmed up, it's fine for the rest of the day unless it sits for awhile.
I thought it was just because of the cold weather but today was warm out and no different in starting. What's causing this and is this a common problem? Is this a easy fix?

For starters you need to add all the important info about your truck into the question and/OR your signature... Much less confusing when we know what year/model your truck is...
I'd be tempted to check fuel pressure...

It's a 1998 1500
5.2 engine
Hi I am new to this whole thread thing and I need help on figuring out whats wrong with my truck. I have a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 motor 4x4. When I go to start the truck up for the day it turns over but after 2 seconds roughly starts to bog down like it wants to stall. However, it does not completely stall. The truck has new spark plugs, wires, rotor, cap, IAC, Catalytic convertor, and muffler. The truck has 179,000 miles on it. If you someone can help me that would be great. Thank you and I look forward to your advice.

All three of you should check battery and fuel pressure. The TPS can also cause rough idle issues, test it with an analog meter or replace it. When testing voltage should read at least .26v and increase smoothly when going to WOT to 4.5v or so.
