Default Transmission being really weird
I've got a 96 ram sport with the 5.2. Only 93,000 miles. When I got the truck it wouldn't shift from 1st to 2nd when fully floored. Then I would floor it to test to see if it changed. And it would shift fine with out any problems. Then one morning I floored it wouldn't shift. Stayed like this for a couple of weeks now its back to shifting fine. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced!

Check adjustment of TV cable. Also, find the Plenum sticky, read and check out your plenum.

These trannys are notorious for not wanting to shift at WOT. Governor pressure sensor wasn't the best part in the world when new......
