01 Ram 1500 trans problems

Default 01 Ram 1500 trans problems

I have an 01 ram 1500 5.9 4x4 auito it ia throwing codes P1740 witch is tcc solenoid and p1762 which is govener pressure senseroffset or improper voltage the trck does not slip while in gear but it does not whant to shift up or down even if you start in low and shift up by hand any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I know it's long, but I suggest you read the sticky tranny thread on top of the forum. There is tons of info in it. Plus, just in the last few weeks, there are so many tranny threads you don't even have to do a search. Just look on the last few page's and you"ll see what I mean. And a # of them have the same issue as you do.

I don't mean to scare you, but I literally just picked my truck up from the transmission shop yesterday, after a complete rebuild and heavy duty transmission cooler (radiator cooled not some cheap in line) was done.. And mine was doing the EXACT same thing. Good luck.

It may not need a rebuild yet, but not taking care of it will necessitate one in the future. Follow the thread, read it well, download FSM in the FAQ/DIY section and read the tranny chapter. Check solenoids, fluid condition, and let us know what you find. Post photo of magnet in the bottom of pan also. It will provide some insight.
