Default Check valve delete questions

Hey everyone, my brother has a 99 ram sport 318 auto
His trucks been acting up lately not idiling in park or reverse when it's cold but fine when it warms up!

His truck got a new "used" tranny installed awhile back we did and I was thinking maybe the check valves were clogging up causing this issue ?

We were just going to cut the check valves out with a brake line tool and clamp in some hose.

Any ways my questions are:

Pros and cons of deleting the check valve this way?
Could the check valve be the problem ?

I doubt it's the problem, but there are no cons to deleting the check valve. And there is only one check valve.

Check the spark plugs, dizzy cap, spark plug wires, and rotor. Check and clean the IAC.
