Default lighting issue

hey everyone im deployed right now and my wife bought me a truck and she says its having some problems. i`ll try to explain it the best i can. so far she says the headlights wont come on unless the stearing wheel is positioned in a certain spot and now the dome light and the tail lights wont go off even with the key out of the ignition. i know the 2nd gen ram has been known for having a bad light switch. any ideas on what might be causing this? trying to trouble shoot from afghanistan so i can start on it when i come home in a month. thanks

Likely a combination of a bad multifunction switch and maybe some munched wires in the column.

Pull the covers off and see what's in there, that's about all you can do from the start.

And thank you for your service.
