Default Plenum Questions

I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 sport 5.9 and I was curious about how common this plenum problem is? At what mileage it fails? This truck has 138,600 miles on it, and how much it would cost to get it replaced at a shop? Thanks for any help

Read the plenum sticky. The problem is symptom driven. If you have any or all of these symptoms, it has probably failed. Easy to check though. Look into the throttle body. Oil pooled = failed plenum (usually). Also use the search function for plenum. Thread after thread has been started.

Remove the TB to check. Along with a flashlight and small mirror to see all around inside, you'll get the real picture.

And +1, read the plenum sticky.
