I agree...serious rust...where did the truck come from?? I can paint but never was good on bodywork and that will take some major work IMHO.

Best way?

Get new or used rust free fenders and doors. Paint. Done.

Buy a cab corner patch panel. Mark, cut, weld, grind, fill, paint. Done.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Want to sell and have it look decent?

Buy a gallon or two of bondo. Fill, sand, paint. Done.

^^^This way WILL NOT last.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Easiest way?

Leave it and live with it. Done.

I must say, I don't think the duck tape is helping it any since it would likely just be trapping more moisture.

As far as I am concerned, if it bothers you that much, just save up money and replace stuff as you can.

Salvage yard or Craigslist and look for deals for the fender and doors. Pick a parts out here charge 55.00 a door, but don’t know what the yards where you are cost.

The biggest issue is if you are seeing that much rust on the panels, god knows how the frame is too and underside. You hate to throw good money or time at a problem that large. If the frame has bad rot that’s a whole new issue.

There’s products out there to slow rust, but the stuff you have looks like Stage 4 cancer for a car’s auto body. You can slow it with some chemicals, but like the others said you really have to cut it out.

Maybe your best bet is look on Craigslist for someone parting out a salvaged or wrecked truck. Still might cost a few hundred bucks for the doors and fender’s but that’s really the cheapest way to go with what you have. For now, if you remove that duck tape, you could maybe use foil tape to seal the doors temporarily, but that’s a hell of a bandaid from what I see in the pictures.

Stuff an old coat in it then fiberglass over it. LoL...On a Cold *** Winter day one of the old junker's I had when I was a kid blew out a rear tire and about half the quarter panel . LOL That's exactly how someone had patched it. The sad part was I was broke and I had to drive it like that.
