I don't think a 10" wheel is necessary, imo.

You're right a 10" is not needed for that tire size, I went to the 10" for future upgrading of tires, 8" wheel worked just fine. I go by what the tire mf specs out for a wheel.

Ya I should have taken it (measurement) from the box wheel well, as we know the front fenders tapper in making it worse. This will be the first full spring/summer/fall running these wheels I am curious to see how the ball-joints/hub bearings hold up, it's all new last fall so........

Sorry op off topic for this post.

Humm yes, no. Not that good in mud, not that good in snow, total S**t on ice, wearing ok, look ok, not that loud, balance kinda good, good hwy manners, will I buy a set NO, I never paid for these tires they were warrantee replacements for my Goodyear MTR/K. More like a A/T tire than a mud tire. You won't find me up any muddy/slick logging roads or or in deep snow with these tires.
