Cranking the BEAST
I will def try the linkage first than goto the sensor - I really appreciate it guys! When I turn the ignition off I have to gently raise the gear shifter to get the key to turn to the off position - its goes only so far back then I have to raise the shifter to get the last small turn back to get the key out - so thats does kinda sound like a linkage problem - thanks again!

It can if the adjustment is off enough that it is not actually getting fully into park, then pushing the shifter up moves it enough to disengage key. The rooster comb is out of position, not allowing the neutral safety switch to sense it.
Check adjustment first.
alright - thanks again yall - will let you know - also, since I have yalls attention for the moment - bad news, I am having to let off the gas for the tranny to shift out of 1st - then gently pick up throttle or it will go back into "neutral" other than that exact spot in the gears the tranny runs perfectly - sorry for all the questions - trying to figure this out b/c I dont have the $ to just drop it off somewhere - also when I check the linkage adjustment for the 1st issue - I will see that linkage and adjustment area when I get under there won't I? I am downloading and researching to learn as much as possible - I really really appreciate the help!!
