My 01 ram 1500 I'll be driving it with the ac on works fine gets cold, but it will randomly start coming out hot. Hot as in the heater comes on not just room temperature air, it does it randomly and you have to turn the ac off and back on for it to come out cold again. Anyone know what's up with it?

 

Do a search on "heater treater", read thru their site. See if that is your problem.

Read this thread also, the ac/heat settings are vacuum controlled. The hot to cold(blend door) Is mechanically controlled and the heater treater , as HeyYou stated is for that portion of the system.
