Default ignition light

For the past two years i have had to use a kill switch because of my battery keeps dieing, cup holder glove compartment and light under hood are all disconnected. But my ignition light is always on would this kill my battery after a week of not driving? And yes my battery is a year old.

Sure would. I think yours is controlled by the central timer module though.. not just an easy relay in the fuse block.
