Default What can i fit?

Im thinking about getting either 295/75/16's or 305/70/16's on my '99 Ram 4x4 w/ stock suspension, Would either of those fit w/ out rubbing on my stock suspension? or would i have to get a lift? And Also, would both of those tires fit on my stock 16' Alloy rims?

You should be able to fit the 295 tire on your truck with no problem. It will fit on your stock rim no problem. The 305 tire i'm almost sure will rub. My father's last truck was a 2001 Dodge Ram quad cab 4X4 w/the offroad pkg. The offroad pkg trucks sit up a little higher than reg 4X4s and have a heavier duty suspension. Anyways the largest tire that would fit on his truck was 305 buckshots. Also remember that the offroad rims are 17in. He had about an inch of clearance from his wheel wells when turned the sharpest in either way. Anyways you should be alright with the 295. Hope this helps some. -Tyler

I think it'll depend on the rim that you have, some stock rims will rub with either tire. it'll depend on the backspacing (offset) that the rim has. I had stock alloys with 285's and they cleared fine. now i have the 295's and about 2.5" of front lift and I'm still ok.

I think your going to need to get a 2in spacer to clear that big of a tire unless you have the offroad package. The offroad package raises it 2in so thats why some people can clear them.

ok, thanks for all the input, but i think ill just wait a couple more months to upgrade tires...i plan on getting a 5" lift, and would be kinda pointless to upgrade tires now
