Exactly how hard are they to install and anyone got any brand recomendations? Im debating between getting this tonneau cover http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...L/E187570.html which if anyone has any experience with, please leave your feedback. But its between that tonneau cover or a bedliner with toolbox. Opinions?

 

If you use the bed more like a trunk, get the cover.
If you use the bed like a truck, get a bed liner.

 

Well thats the thing I can't decide is because I always like to put stuff in the bed of my truck, but the nice thing is that it rolls up and allows me to put whatever back there.

 

Bedliner you pretty much drop in. Some come with locking mechanisms, but it is prettyuch a no brainer. Same with the cover. It's a frame that is clamped to the bedrails and a couple of crossbars snapped in and the cover attaches by various means, depending on the style chosen (snaps, velcro, zipper, etc). Both can be installed easily and quickly.

 

yeah. If I go with a bedliner though, I think im going to go with a roll in one rather then a plastic one, unless I can get a plastic one for cheap.

 

Get the bed liner, and keep a tarp under the rear seat. Problem solved

 

A plastic bed liner will rub on the paint and also hold moisture in between it and the bed. Those two things equal a rotting bed.

 

Prep work is key while installing a role on liner.

 

spray on from a company that does it for you they are pricey but last longer

 

My truck had a plastic bed liner. Took it off last time in Georgia, not one spot of rust in the bed of the truck
